Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), painter, draftsman, engraver and author is the most famous artist in the world. He renewed the art of printmaking with his famous works such as "Under the Wave off Kanagawa" which is the first in a serie of Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji published between 1831 and 1833.
